The Berwick-upon-Tweed (Goswick) Golf Club is the outstanding Links Course in the County of Northumberland and the Borders. With its ever changing North Seas breezes, it is an excellent test of golf and a challenge for both low and high handicaps. Founded in 1890, the original nine holes were laid out by the famous Golf Architect James Braid and extended to 18 in 1864. In 1964, the first 9 holes were modified by Frank Pennick to give added yardage and remains much the same today.
Burgham Park is a championship parkland course located in the lovely Northumberland countryside, 20 minutes from Newcastle and just a few miles north of Morpeth, just off the A1. The course sits in beautiful rolling countryside providing a challenging round for all abilities. The maturing parklands with water hazards, is both beautiful and tranquil and includes some of the finest greens in the region. Former Ryder Cup captain Mark James was part of the design team that developed the course in 1994, which has been constantly improved over the years. Belford also has its own course which is located close to the A1 inland from Bamburgh. Its parklands course is spread over 100 acres providing a challenge for golfers of all standards. Belford Golf Club welcomes golfers of all standards and has a 10 bay driving range to practice. Alternatively, tuition is available from PGA Professional, David Ord.

The beauty of the place is that even for golf widows there is plenty to do and with so many attractions and activities you may even want to join them.
